I’m in California so I don’t think it’s appropriate for me to do so, but boy does this case need to have a spotlight put on it. Considering that there were millions of images, that outcome is surely unjust. To quote Chris Hedges from the chapter “Sadism” in his book, “America: The Farewell Tour” - “…ultimately, who is more submissive than a child?” It sickened me to realize that it is sadists who enjoy such materials. I couldn’t conceive of why someone would want them until I grasped the sadistic domination aspect of it. Thanks to women like you and Reverend Hedges, I’m not so ignorant any more about where the motivation to commit this kind of heinous crime comes from.
My expectation is that the police probably said something like "If you tell us everything you know about the people and websites you acquired these images from, we'll make sure you get a suspended sentence and community service. Otherwise, we'll throw the book at you. Your choice."
Do judges realise that real children are involved? Without men like him fewer children would be abused. It astounds me that people who are involved in sharing videos of badger baiting and cock fighting get prison terms, but this paedophile gets such a light sentence. All because he gave up his pin number and his partner stands with him. The world really has gone mad.
Is the case number unique to this case do you know, I only ask because I found this article while looking up another case another court and now I’m worried they are linked in some way
Hi Genevieve, can you please pass on a message to Graham Linehan. I'm not a subscriber to his substack so I can't reply there, and I can't find any other way to contact him.
In his most recent GLINNER'S TWITTER POST he referenced a tweet by @kunley_drukpa that showed a screenshot of the actor, screenwriter and director Seth Rogan abusing J. K. Rowling.
That screenshot is a fake. @kunley_drukpa is a satirical Twitter account, with a similar sense of humour to some of the people found on 4chan. He often posts long threads of fake screenshots of unhinged tweets by celebrities, all ending with the same tweet "Dresden, Germany, before the Allied bombings".
The staggering number of images alone should have garnered a life sentence.
