This speaks to me much more than Blanchard. Can you also hightlight the sadistic component - like how to be fully gratified by all their palaver, these guys have to know they are also harming actual women by harming themselves "as women." I've experience of a man doing this but i struggle to find the words for it. I regret investing too much in the term AGP because it just doesn't cover what I wish I could put into words.
