Actually I think it is exactly the right fight, because genderism is a religion. The correct position is: you are allowed to have a belief about how the world works. You cannot force me to play along with it as if I believe it too. There are LIMITS to what religious people can demand of others. Devout Jewish or Muslim women can cover their own heads (ultra Orthodox women wear wigs). They can't say all women have to do so as well because otherwise they are sad and offended. A man can run around saying he is a woman. He can't demand other women treat him as a woman, including by welcoming him into their spaces in facilities open to the public. The same way a church or club can have special rules, he can start a members' only spa in which men can use whatever changing rooms they want and see how many women join it. He can't say "all existing spas now have to work according to the rules of my religion".
But I am concerned about the tendency of govt/courts to create division, to take two currently-favored ideologies, two "religions", (Islam is a religion AND a dangerous ideology) and pit them against each other, still ignoring the rights of ALL WOMEN to say NO.
