You've emphasized how the spread of gender ideology is rooted in male sexual fantasies, which is true to a large extent, but most of the people making gender ideology fashionable are women, particularly young women. The most common demographic of twitter account to have 'pronouns in bio' is a college-age straight woman and it's not even close. It's also clear that some among the women who support gender ideology are extreme feminists with a neurotic hostility to male sexuality (I've seen them saying things like "all boys should be put on puberty blockers until they prove by their decent behavior that they aren't rapists") - I don't know how many of these women there are compared to the male fetishists, but they certainly exist and account for some of the energy driving this movement. In any case there's something odd about depicting gender ideology as another maneuver by "men" to control women, when most of the people who publicly endorse gender ideology are women and gay men. The average straight man is bewildered by gender ideology and how it became popular so quickly.
