It seems to me that the discussion needs to become more nuanced, and we need to consider people with serious psychological issues as such, irrespective of their gender identity, their sex, or their trans status. As another commenter pointed out, failure to separate these categories (i.e., to lump all 'trans' people together as if they were a homogeneous group) "...hurts the people who are truly struggling with dysmorphia." We need to address the mental illness first before any transition is considered. Shupe admitted to having Borderline Personality Disorder, which explains his changing identity, his fetishism and advocacy for violence. Trans Identified Males openly advocate for violence against women - why does society tolerate this? In fact, I've seen certain Liberals who are not connected to the Trans community label women "TERFs" and treat them dismissively and with derision. I've even seen this behavior from Liberal Feminists directed at Radical Feminists who are fighting the erosion of Women's Rights and legal protections as a sex class. All that is necessary is to spit the word "TERF" at a woman and she becomes a target for violence. Society is looking the other way as women's advocates are being brutalized.

Anecdotally, in a small pool of trans widows contacting me, I can confirm there is a contingent of men with sexual fetishes exactly as described, who attempt to coerce or do coerce their wives into taking the "male role" in humiliation scenarios involving what used to be intimacy in our marriages. I never heard this request from my husband during his early phase of cross-sex ideation; rather, one of his therapists, outlined this "role play" for me, claiming I'd find it "arousing" and I'd also "keep your family together." I said no. Tracy Shannon, a trans widow who interviewed with Benjamin Boyce, also had this experience of "marriage counseling." I believe Jenny, who interviewed with Graham Linehan a few years ago, experienced the same thing. Just recently a psychiatrist expressed doubt that this happens so much, to my face. I had a few thoughts while I was reading.
1. Will the lessons you allude to, but that are glaringly obvious be understood and internalized, for the next round of demands from the progressive all encompassing lgbt-weownyou cult?
2. This has been a public case study in blind obedience to labels, obligatory alliances and legacy ties to ideologies. Sipping the kool aide readily, because you always have and your long time leader and affiliations, say you should, is never wise, smart or in the best interests of your survival. Progressive/woke women, handed these radicals the knife that slit their own throats...because they were told long ago, this is the side you better be on or you're a sell out or worse...a house wife...probably the worst slur that can be thrown, in the progressive woman's world.
3. Note to progressive, woke and blindly obedient and radical self...any agenda/movement that involves sexualizing children, is BAD.
4. Women have basically been convinced to voluntarily enter ideological gender slavery. The pimps convinced you to walk those corners voluntarily and in many cases excitedly, selling the agenda no matter what it cost you or your friends, family, societies or children.
Lets hope these lessons are revisited, when the call goes out to support and champion the mainstreaming and legalization of pedophilia - in the guise of the declaration that being a pedophile should be made a protected, legal and societally validated "sexual orientation" you know like being a woman."
