I understand your philosophy. When you're profiling women who are abused, threatened with erasure and have been physically in danger from the husband and men like him, it's a different consideration.
The idea that a violent murderer has a "right" to not suffer is ridiculous. This is a hardened individual: he's not suffering from being called "Mr." + not being able to buy hair clips or special underwear. There is no "right" to avoid suffering the consequences of one's behavior. God may give grace to individuals who genuinely change, but that still doesn't mean one can claim a "right" to avoid the downsides of consequences.
He has the right to wear women’s panties, make-up, hair clips, high heels…..but if that cheek swab says he’s a dude he needs to be housed with the other men. There are consequences for the atrocities he committed outside the prison, regardless of how he “identified”, and there will be consequences for his actions inside the prison. If he wants to be seen as a woman I’m sure the men housed with him will be fine with that. Some will no doubt enjoy it very much.
